Meet our baby, Snarkzilla! Snarky is a new space for queer trans BIPOC comedy.
Overwhelmed by all the COVID-19 web sites and resource lists floating around? Us too. So we’re helping gather content for the new SF Bay Area LGBTQ COVID-19 Relief site, a central hub to get you the info you need.
Trans + gender non-conforming people of color deserve joy + love. So Peacock Rebellion and People of Coloring commissioned 6 local TGNC POC artists to interview 4 long-time organizers and conjure a coloring book to celebrate the big community win of Liberate 23rd Avenue.
A book release party + artist reception for our very own community-created trans liberation and racial justice coloring book.

Peacock Rebellion presents:
Tenderfest 2.0: A Trans POC Dance + Music Festival
Friday, February 9th + Saturday, February 10th, 2018
OMG WE DID IT!!! A long-time, low-rent community building in East Oakland could've become a giant playground for big tech. But as of November 28th, 2017, it's staying an affordable, people of color-led social justice center, because of you! Our landlord sold the building and you raised more than $90,000 to help us buy it. The vibrant, tight-knit community members and community resources who share our historic building at 23rd and International will stay here long-term.
Peacock's merging with our sibling organization Liberating Ourselves Locally (LOL).
Thank you to the 800+ people who packed the houses for Brouhaha 2017!
The always-packed, award-winning Brouhaha got all shook up this year.
The #Liberate23rdAve campaign to ensure our block's survival is on Autostraddle. Yay for queer and trans people of color fighting displacement!
Thanks for joining us for a free opening night of art, music, food and community, celebrating the power of trans and gender nonconforming people of color!
This Spring 2017, Peacock Rebellion's been running a 4-month Paid Peer Advocacy Training Program with support from Bloom: Transgender Community Healing Project, Transgender Law Center, the Fund for Trans Generations, the Third Wave Fund's Mobilize Power Fund, the Resist Foundation, and awesome individual donors.
Thanks to all the lawyers, healers, case workers, counselors, safety team members and others who got 75 name and gender marker change apps processed in one day!! Thanks to the donors and funders who hooked up fee waivers!!
Today (Saturday, November 5, 2016) was the first day of Peacock Rebellion's STAY: An Oakland QTPOC Resilience Festival. The festival continues through Sunday, including the big show!
Hey love! It’s been a minute. Miss you <3 Liberating Ourselves Locally (LOL) is getting a reboot. Back in February, Peacock Rebellion – the fab QTPOC arts org. Among other things, they’re known for producing Brouhaha, which the East Bay Express recently named “̌Most Historic Event” in their Best of the East Bay. Since we’ve moved in together, we have been proceeding in a close collaboration.
Thanks to all the performers, healers, teaching artists, witches, safety + accessibility team members, volunteers, collaborating groups, neighbors and old + new fam who came through to make STAY so, so, so beautiful.
OMG Peacock Rebellion just got names East Bay Express’ Best of the Bay! Our Brouhaha program was named “Most Historic Cultural Event.”
We love you. Really. Really really. Dear precious gift to the world, thank you for being alive. Thank you for living.
June in the Bay is QTPOC art epic. Our art is altar, celebration, resistance, life. So welcome to our 4th annual pride guide. We hope it helps you find your people, your power, your self.
The Peacocks (and Peahens) are rebelling! If you haven't heard of Peacock Rebellion, it's an amazing group of queer and trans artists of color changing the world through words, images, performances, and magic. We're really excited to be collaborating with them on future projects.
We shared a bunch of OpenPGP encryption resources with each other at Hack Night tonight. Here is the list.
Have you stopped by an LOL Hack Night recently? Over the past many months we've been reinvigorating our weekly Monday hack nights with consistent hosting, higher attendance and more consistent collaboration; if you haven't been to LOL in a while, consider dropping by on a Monday night from 7:30-9:30pm to check it out!

If you need some inspiration, let’s review some of the year’s top queer and trans people of color (QTPOC) moments, actions, and brilliance in the US, as curated by the Peacocks.
Welcome to Fresh, a weekly, curated compass to some fly QTPOC activist art, protests and other goodness. We hope it helps you find your way.
