Feeling stuck by constant crisis mode but still want to help out? Come slow down with community.
Like a hack-a-thon (teams! prizes! food! fun!) but not (go at your own pace! work on your own if teams are not your thing!), we’ll crowdsource collective brilliance to share resources with community, and fix up our maker space too.

The event is free! We will have snacks, supplies for all of the above, and goodie bags!
The babies!:
The space isn’t kid-proofed, but you're welcome to bring your children; please send us a direct message and let us know at least 3 days in advance so we can prep, but we always have toys, coloring books, and other books for kids.
Wheelchair and scooter accessibility:
LOL is wheelchair-accessible including the bathroom, but there is no push-button on our front door. We leave the front door open for events except when safety issues come up, in which case safety team members are stationed at the front door to welcome you and open/close doors.
Fragrance-free:
We ask attendees to use only fragrance-free products. Our paint, floors and cleaning products are zero-VOC and fragrance-free but smoke and fragrances come in sometimes; we run an air purifier at events. Quiet/lower-stimulant:
We have a separate room for folks who need a quieter / lower-stimulant space
Parking:
Free street parking is available on 23rd Ave., E. 12th St. and International Blvd.
BART:
LOL is about 1 mile from Fruitvale BART.
AC Transit:
The 1 stops 1/2 block away at 23rd Ave. and International Blvd; the 40 stops about 2 blocks away at 23rd Ave. and Foothill Blvd. Get transit options here: transit.511.org
