Bay Area QTBIPOC Mental Health Services
Does the cost of mental health care stress you out more than the issue you want to see a therapist about? Ever go to a community clinic, ask for a QTBIPOC therapist, and get assigned to a white lady with faux-locks? Folks in Peacock Rebellion's networks sent us these links to low-cost QTBIPOC therapist resources in the Bay Area.
CAVEATS
We can't vouch for whether these resources actually have any QTBIPOC therapists, are low-cost, or will meet your needs; this is just the info people sent us. Use at your own risk.
We only list other referral lists and centers. We don't list individual QTBIPOC therapists anymore because the contact info on the list kept changing faster than we could maintain it. The lists below seem to stay current; yay!
If we know a source takes Medi-Cal, Medi-Care, works at a community clinic or has sliding-scale rates, we put that info in the notes section
Contact us to add resources to this list.

SAN FRANCISCO
Bayview Hunters Point Foundation 1625 Carroll Ave San Francisco, CA 94124 (415) 822-7500
New Perspectives Note from a QTBIPOC: New Perspectives in the Richmond and HAPS (Haight Ashbury Psychological Services) have therapists who fall into that category and/or are activists who focus on those issues a lot. I can't tell you which therapists specifically do this, but you could probably find out by calling and the therapist I'm sure would love the business. New Perspectives actually has bios about the therapist on their site. That will help you narrow it down. Both are sliding scale. I've been to both places and had pretty good experiences.
